Seeing how they are out of production, ebay has none listed and pinside only has 1 for sale at $8k...what are they really worth? I have 2 and both have invisglass, timberbell mod, led speaker mod and cannon mods. Huo too. Thinking mine are worth $6k min. Am I low?

#2 8 years ago

yes, you are low

#3 8 years ago

They are worth enough for Stern to do another run of them

As for yours, yes, 6k is too low. 8k is too high. I'm presuming the next run from Stern will be about 6600 (expired license just means they have to pay for a license again). So anyone paying more than 7k is going to lose out. Sure, they will have a great game to play, but as soon as the next run hits, it will lose almost a grand.

#4 8 years ago

Somewhere in the 6500-7500 range depending on mods and condition.

#5 8 years ago

Just looked in the "price guide" Marco was selling at RMPS while I was there. Luci is listed at $6995.

#6 8 years ago

Getting 8k for yours with the mods wouldn't shock me a bit...

#7 8 years ago

Tx for all feedback. I heard someone say that the license cost may have went up to acdc. If true then stern may nod their head no to a ve. Who knows for sure though!

I do not believe for a second Stern will do another run of ACDC's in any form.
They will have there hands full with KISS for the next full year, and if the GOT rumors are true, I cannot envision any way that title is not excellent.

End of year rumors include Star Wars also, so I think ACDC has played it's last song at Stern.

Luci value will hold steady at mid 6K's.
Yours does sound worth 7K to me, easy.

#10 8 years ago

I feel dumb...what is "Got"? I did search first but received tons of non related hits.

Tx

Game of Thrones.

I would list it at $7500 and get it or pretty close for your Luci.

10k by 4th of July???

#15 8 years ago

There aren't any le, premium or luci for sale in the market, not surprising this sold for so much. Was thinking of putting my premium up for sale, but not really sure.

#16 8 years ago

I thought there was one more non modded for sale at $8k. Now I have to go check.

***Edit.
yes there is one more huo for $8K. It has the bell timber mod only. I think that is like $12 so basically this is stock with not much $$$ in mods. Does have the box it came in too.

Paging Mr Stern. Mr Gary Stern, please pick the courtesy phone to have a discussion with Dave's wallet.

Holy shit that's insane. I'd even consider selling my loaded Luci for that price and it's still my favorite game.

Yes 9500 was the selling point. Great game, great artwork just not a "players games" for me, would have been more of an investment and I just don't need or want that. I want games I will play lol.... Feel free to check my feedback. Finally getting some sales under my belt

Thanks Warhound for the shout out

#20 8 years ago

That's a nice price for the seller. The problem is that each time I hear of a higher price point for Luci, I ask myself if I'd sell my loaded version for that price, and right now I'd still have to say no. Though it's getting close that tipping point. Its just to good a game and my game room would really miss her.

#21 8 years ago

All depends on what a buyer will pay .....

#22 8 years ago

My wife and I are daily players...at our home obviously. Luci gets the most attention. She is better than me (holds high score on every pin we buy) but on Luci I can take 2/3 from her sometimes. That alone keeps me loving this game. It is hard for me to get a grip on values for Luci. I have tried just because I am curious. My understanding is only stern knows how many were made...this makes it difficult to compare and value. I wish the production count would leak out to the public.

On another note...I heard from a reliable source that stern would have to pay a much higher licence fee to run acdc again. Now note, I did not say they would not run a V.E., I just heard it will cost them $$$ to do it. Sooooo if Stern nods their head no to another Luci run, then Luci's will probably hold their value well for years to come. Maybe even go up more but I don't know....seems they are lofty value already so just holding current prices would be nice for owners!

Sold my Lucy to retiredpinball for $8500 he posted it 3 days later for $9500. I think he sold it locally to another pinsider.

Doesn't that just piss you the hell off? That's why I'm going to be REALLY careful who I sell to and what I sell games for when I actually do sell something. That just sucks.

#28 8 years ago

NIB under 200 plays,lcd mod,train topper,cannon mod.

hmmmm. Obviously nothing wrong with that, but that would torque me a little bit.

Guess he earned the name "retiredpinball"....

#30 8 years ago

Yeah especially when I didn't even have it forsale he wanted it really bad and wouldn't leave me alone till he got it. Learn from my mistakes bro.

#31 8 years ago

Its all good though what comes around goes around. Its just pinball

#32 8 years ago

Seller/owner has all the control when selling… unless buyer has a gun.

"NIB under 200 plays" - This doesn't add up. Can't be new in box with plays on it.

I know of one that sold for $8K that was nicely modded. We both thought that was kind of high at the time. Looks like that's not as high as we thought it was.

#34 8 years ago

I was the original owner, And your right I didn't have to sell it, But when the buyer said its all he ever wanted was a luci. I thought at least he was going to keep it longer then 3 days. No worries I didn't get hurt at all on the deal, I just didn't like playing it.

The best way to get a grip on values is to put it out there when you're serious about selling and aren't in a particular rush. If demand is high and owners aren't selling then the production numbers don't really matter. Now seems like a great time if you have a spare.

I don't think license fees are that high relative to the total cost of a game. The issue is typically if something about the package doesn't fit with the licencor's current marketing strategy. Doubt Stern will give a nod to anything that could potentially make them money.

#36 8 years ago

It's in good hands now...and the kicker is it actually gets played. Imagine that.

Maybe it is not the same one.in my pm's to happily he mentioned an lcd mod and topper but not a cannon mod. Either way, he definately tested the resale market further which helps us all understand values one step further. Especially me. Luci and PM values are so puzzling since so few are ever for sale. I paid $4k for my PM 2 years ago and I seen a few recently list and/or sell for $3k to $3.6k. I kind of thought the value would have gone up but it did not....hmmmm....unless I over paid.....hmmmm...quite possible. Not the best negotiator here

Speaking of lcd mod's...that lcd mod looks great! I am on the list to get it when more are made.

I bought a Luci. 8K.
To some that's high. To some not.
But I was going to buy an ACDC anyway. So why not a limited edition.

I was wondering what the MSRP was on this game. Didn't they sell for 7k new? That's what I found online.

6.5-6.7K was probably what most people paid for this NIB

#41 8 years ago

Ok. Thanks centreflank. Someone was trying to tell me they sold for 7k CAD new. Sounds like BS now. And I never see them for sale.

This one had 31 plays on it. And a shout out to seller - Erik in OH. A great guy and a pin fanatic.

People bought TRON LE for $4900, too. And?

Would love to see someone's saler order for a Tron LE for $4900. Seems like market price was mid 5's

#45 8 years ago

It was 5300 to 5500.

#46 8 years ago

If I remember correctly, it was 5150 shipped. Which was a lot back then when pros were new under 4k

NIB Luci sold for between $7,195 and $7,495 if I remember right.

That was in the good old days when Pro/LE price difference was closer to $1k.

I paid just under $7k CDN for my NIB Luci, not including tax/shipping. Exchange rate was much nicer back then though.
