I bought a bingo from a collector who told me he had lubricated the leather clutches with 10W-30 motor oil. He cautioned me to stick with the 10W-30, stating that if I ever added neatsfoot lubrication, the combination would gum up. The thing is, the game is whisper quiet, so maybe he is on to something.

Has anyone ever heard of using anything other than neatsfoot on the leather clutches? Any thoughts on the wisdom of 10W-30?
