I went to order a new piece of tempered playfield glass today but have been offered two alternatives. Apparently there's a 'low iron' glass that gives better clarity (and is more expensive) whereas the one I was going to order has the slight green tinge in the glass, apparently. Being so thin, you wouldn't think the green tinge would be an issue. The low iron glass is only offered in 4 or 6 millimetres thick whereas the standard pinball glass is 5 millimetres thick so I would think this is the one I should get.
Which one is more commonly used in pinball machines?
