Picked this one up a couple weeks ago and it turned out nice. It had some of the oddest wiring for freeplay and credits that I pulled out and started from scratch.

The whole cabinet was also was covered with contact paper- wood grain...very pretty! Luckily it all pealed off with a hair dryer nicely. Also the cover to the pinball shooter was cracked up but good old PBR had the parts I needed to get it back to original.

Here's some beginning pics....

Looks like a great pick up!

HA! Looks just like this one!

Really nice folks and it turned out great. Had the typical coils that needed to be replaced (hold, one flipper coil, one of the bells sleeves was bad...so the whole coil needed replaced). I cleaned all the contacts and sockets, replaced most the light bulbs, replaced the resistor that was fried. The biggest problem was getting all the stepper units up and running. Over all, very happy with how it turned out!

Here's some more pics!

Here's two videos. I do prologize for the second video but I was trying to get the special lit on the roll over in the middle and then realized that the ball needed to drain!

Here it is in play:

Here we are pushing it thru all the bonuses:

That game gobbles more than a turkey 3 days before thanksgiving.

#8 9 years ago

HA! Nicely put! It's pretty fun, but can get a little frustrating when the gobble you are going for changes! Gobble, gobble, gobble!

#9 9 years ago

Turned out great. What a nice condition backglass on that one!

#10 9 years ago

Great work!

Gobble, gobble holes suck!

#11 9 years ago

Very nice, I love those old wood-rails!!

#12 9 years ago

Yes, the backglass was in great condition. I sealed it and retouched a little on the back near the credit reel, but other than that...it's perfect. All the illuminated areas were in great condition, which makes a retouch easy!

You really have to look at these gobble holes as part of the skill of the game. They kind of grow on you when you play it!

Now for a little paint work on the front cabinet.........

I'm going to enjoy it for a while and leave the repaint job to the next owner. Better to enjoy what I have than to "over restore".

What a beauty! I can almost smell those Gottlieb wires through my monitor.

Very nice.

I do like gobble holes, kind of like watching water going down a plug hole sometimes!

Well, I had my fun and I'm out of room....again! Pinball Past is going to pick up the game tomorrow, so it will be for sale! Fun game, but wife gave me the, "I thought you said, 'Only five pinballs'!" speech! I told her the pitch n bat and the shooting game didn't count!

Wow! Beautiful line up there. I like the info cards above the games. I always wanted to do something like that. Either like yours, or in miniature on the key chain (which I always leave in the door).

Thread bump!

A whole raft of games have come and gone since buying this game, but not only does Lucy remain, it's one of my favorite games.

Crazy in a way, as it is brutally unfair most of the time.

It's the Iron Man of the 1950's....
