    Quoted from NoCashValue:

My own fault for not knowing I could attend earlier than today, but the show hotel is overbooked, much less with any rooms for the $69/night rate. Does anyone know if the organizers have an overflow hotel nearby with a good rate or if there are any hotels nearby that won't cost an arm and a leg? After gas and an 8-hour car ride, the $100+ hotel/night could kill the trip for me. Thanks in advance!

Sorry - we don't have an overflow hotel setup. There is a Marriott near by, and a Holiday Inn a few blocks away. If you just look at the area around the hotel we are at, there are plenty of hotels. (9700 Bluegrass Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40299)(Hurstbourne Lane and I-64). Rooms sometime get cancelled though, so you should try back, and definitely call the hotel as opposed to just trying online.

That being said - there are great hotels downtown and plenty of restaurants and things to do as well if that is your liking. Maybe about 20 minutes away.

Starting to get excited. Hope there's a good showing of EMs. This is really the only opportunity I ever get to play them and I can't wait!

My trailer ride fell through. My buddy is not bringing games thisyear due to work and such. Anyone in southern Indiana with a trailer have room for a few extra games?

    Here is my idea:

Tuesday, 3.4.2014, Zanzabar will be hosting two pinball events! The 1st event, ZANZABAR'S PYTHON PINBALL BEAT-DOWN, starts at 8pm (sign-ups between 7-8pm) -- $10 per head, single elimination! Prizes for 1st place (weekend pass to Louisville arcade expo and a $25 Zbar gift card), 2nd place (1 day pass to Louisville arcade expo and a Zbar hoodie) and 3rd place (Louisville arcade expo Tshirt)
All proceeds will be sent to Python Anghelo!!!! I've only met him once, and he made a great impression on me, so I wanted to try and help him out!

    The second event,
The ZANZABAR / PAPA PRE LOUISVILLE ARCADE EXPO PINBRAWL, starts at 10:30pm (sign-ups around 10-10:30pm) $5 per head, double elimination! Payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus an additional cash purse from the Louisville Arcade Expo.

Finally less than a week away! I'm getting really excited. I'm assuming there will be plenty of hand trucks around to haul games in right? I am only bringing one pin but not a lot of room in the car to add a cart.

I'm hoping to bring my game on Thursday, but not sure yet how early I can come. What's the latest someone can set up on Thursday and still have enough time to enjoy the early access and help set up? Is there a specific time when everyone needs to be out?

We are usually setting up until 11 or so...That being said, it would be best if you could bring the game sometime earlier in the evening and not right at 11.

    #213 10 years ago

I'm not getting there until Friday around one. Is that still ok to bring a game that day? I didn't notice there was a Thursday early arrival for setup. How early can I arrive Friday to bring a game? I can come earlier.

    Thanks!

You are welcome to bring a game anytime, we'll make it work.

That being said, the show opens at 2, so if you can bring it before that, that would be great. One would be fine, or if you can make it earlier that is fine as well, maybe from around 10 on is when we'll be setting up again. I think we have some media arriving in the morning before that.

    #215 10 years ago

Just want to say thanks again to everyone bringing games. You guys rock!

Josh, sounds like a great line-up. I hope we get some EM's from PAPA. MHS, if you are listening, I vote for Target Pool, Aztec, Hot Tip, Mars Trek. All great games!

    #218 10 years ago

If I get it working 100% I'm bringing world fair. Close at this point - we shall see.

I'm planning on bringing a super nice Special Force.

Is that Special Force in a location for coin play?

    Quoted from futurepinhead:

Tron please, I have never played it.

I will be bringing a Tron Pro maxed out with the following mods I can remember. It seems the price trend for Tron is going upward. I have seen some NIB sel for 5700 to 6300 and I seen some other Tron Pro's advertised from well respected sellers in the 10k range. I will price this for what I have in it at 7k giving me a slight profit. I have a LE in my collection. I sold my Pro at Expo and wanted a Pro back but I decided to keep the LE so I feel it might be best to let someone else appreciate the beauty of what Tron has to offer.

Arcade mod 2.1 or 3.1 (another mod well worth the money)
    Flynn sign
    LED's in select places
Special orange powder coating with Tron etching
    Pinbits acrylic pop bumer cap
Cliffy scoop protector, lane protector and shooter lane protector
Shaker motor (so good in Tron)
    Recognizer lighting mod
    Recognizer drop bank decals
Pinside member Hooked Castor and girl mod (see pics for the blue light)
Eli's Fiber Optic ramp light mod (worth the money)
    Hallmark light cycles
    Hemi Scoop Flash light
    Mirror blades
    Flipper Fidelity speaker kit
    Ramp protectors.
    The rare 2D Girl Translight.

A true HUO Tron from the last run Stern produced in March 2013

More pictures of the Tron Pro that will be at the Lousiville Expo starting Friday. I can not make it Thursday as we will still be out delivering some WOZ pins.

Pictures of the audits. I forgot it has the traditional Stern lockbar with rails underneath and no pegs for latching the lockbar down. If anybody wants a Tron with the mods already done, save yourself the time of doing it yourself and buy this one for a grand more than new in box. Just for info the color changing ramp kit and orange body armour cost over a grand.

Man that Tron is NICE!!!! I've been wanting one bad! I'd have to sell some of my current pins or body parts to get one though! I'll have to check it out on Saturday while i'm at the Expo. Playing your AC/DC last year is what sold me on getting one of my own.

    #230 10 years ago

I like to bring them to get played, here is a few pictures from last year where I had ACDC Pro, Rocky and WOZ. ACDC had over 8000 balls played and WOZ just over 8200 balls played. I did not look at the Rocky audits. I look forward to seeing everyone at the show.

I will have specials on Stern shaker motors, pinball side mirrors for all 3 companies, a few McKee toppers and some new old stock playfields.

I will also have many comic books with lots of Marvel and some DC comics.

I am sold out of Invisiglass and not sure if I will get anymore before the show. I appreciate all that have asked but the supply is tight.

This year I will have a WOZ standard with shaker motor set up that will be for sale. It is new in box but will taken out and set up for the show. NIB special price of 8k with no extra charge for the shaker motor. I can even deliver it after the show if needed like I did last year for the ACDC pins I sold.

The lines can be long but everyone has such a good time. Thanks for putting on such a good show.

    #232 10 years ago

I am going to bring the ACDC Pro I mentioned in another thread as it will be the last few days of the great face as my new decal is coming. It might be nice to compare with the other one at the show. It will be the same one I had at the show last year but I can now sell it for less since I have another one. Looking for 4800 which is just 500 more than new in box and it has shaker motor and upgraded speaker kit, bell mod and many others to enhance the playing effect.

I am having a hard time deciding what else to bring as I need 4 to get all my family in for free.

I like Iron man so much that it can not leave the house. I sold my other for the I do not want to sell it price of 7k and felt lucky to get another one back. Thanks again Dave.

Ok I won't be bringing my tron then. I'll look at spiderman a little more and see if it's up for it.

    #234 10 years ago

that's me in the WOZ line. Haha

    #235 10 years ago

Oh man, I am so excited. My wife has plans all day Saturday, so I'm leaving Indy around 7 am to get there before the doors open. This is the first time I'm going to get to play so many different pins. It's going to help me cement my first purchase! *woo*

You're going for the Duck Hunt hat trick this year I assume?

    #247 10 years ago

That Tron Pro is more amazing than I thought it was going to be, but it's a bit out of my range. Anyone bringing a Transformers LE to the show for sale? I'll be out Saturday morning after the Rodes City Run 10K looking for something to buy.

Who else is looking forward to some Wick's Pizza? Really look forward to getting that every year now.

    #249 10 years ago

Does anybody want to help me move a pin into my house (in Jeff) Sunday night? I live just off of Veteran's Pkwy.
There could be some awesome "Belgian Style" Brother Thelonious draft beer and pinball involved...

They might as well hand me the trophy while I am setting up my games.
