Bringing a solid big brave that was worked on by rc like the cola.
It played great when I bought it from him.
I cleaned it up and shopped it.
Touched up cabinet paint and playfield.
Clearcoated playfield and cabinet.
Cleaned coin door and legs.
Cleaned all score reels on player one.
Repainted pops and stand-up targets
Game plays great.
1500.
I'll add pics tomorrow.

Crushed that you didn't swipe a Foo Fighters!
Quoted from heyitsjoebob:This is the first year I'm staying around. What's the beer situation at this show? BYO?
They had a bar setup to purchase drinks from last year. Doubt BYO is allowed but not I'm curious as to the official answer.
Quoted from heyitsjoebob:This is the first year I'm staying around. What's the beer situation at this show? BYO?
That's one of the (many) nice things about Pincinatti.
Louisville usually has power though
I have done BYO every year, since 2015. Be discreet, not a jackass, and you'll be just fine.
Quoted from Ollulanus:Louisville usually has power though
Haha, it just occurred to me that had LAX stayed with its "traditional" FIRST-weekend-of-March schedule, it may very well NOT have had power last weekend. That storm was ridiculous!
Pumped for "setup" day. !
So Scooby will be there and hoping for foo also.
Any chance of a godfather le showing up??
Can't wait to get done with work and head out.
Please, outside alcohol is not permitted in the building. There is a bar onsite.
Foo Fighters will not be at the show, sorry.
See everyone soon!

But you're gonna have power though, right?
I’m sad I’m going to unexpectedly miss this year. I had already had a trip planned where I couldn’t make it on Sunday and then got hit with a special assignment at work that puts me out of town through the week. It also means the game I was planning on bringing can’t make it as I simply won’t have time to get home tomorrow morning after working to get it there on time.
Quoted from Coz:Bond 60th is fun
[quoted image]
Agreed. Really dig the topper in person too.
Quoted from WeirPinball:boy the excitement in this thread is killing me.
Straight. I on the other hand have been having a blast
PXL_20230310_185507470 (resized).jpgQuoted from lowbeau67:Is the recbar tournament tonight or tomorrow night.
I think it might be Sat? Could be wrong! I’ll be there tomorrow
Great show today, and this could just be me, but man, it got really chilly in the main hall as the evening progressed. Going to have to bring a coat in for tomorrow.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Did AP have the Legends of Valhalla Classic at the show?
Yes
Really enjoyed Scooby! Cant wait to play it more today. Beautiful machine and shoots surprisingly well.
How's the turnout this year?
Was thinking about going later today. If not, I'll definitely be there Sunday when the doors open.
Is Scooby there? I'd really like to play that one
(Edit: nevermind, it looks like Scooby is in the building, nice!)
Quoted from luvthatapex2:oh good. I hope they loaded the new code on it!
I don't know anything about the code but it was shooting well.

Turnout seems to be excellent - VERY busy today!
Quoted from aamauzy:Turnout seems to be excellent - VERY busy today!
Awesome! Can't wait to check it out
It was getting pretty crowded when I left around 4, but if you're looking to play Bond, Godzilla or Elvira there were so many it was about a 1 person wait.
It was my first time on Bond, both Pro and Premium and I have to say I was impressed. I went in thinking I wouldn't like it but it was fun.
Played the Bond 60th Anniversary a few times, line wasn't too long for it either. Super smooth shooter and fun. If it was around 6k I'd be all over it. LOL.
Scooby Doo was fun to shoot. Animations brought back memories... if you grew up with Scooby Doo.
Of course, my 'I'm getting old' moment was when three teens walked by and said "What's Dr. No?" like it was some new Marvel character.
I have to say I was disappointed in the number of other pins that were there. I remember a few years ago there was row after row of pins back to back. This year there's one full single row and a couple of short single rows.
You take away Flip N Out, Tilit Amusements and the Cincy group there really wasn't much there.
Spooky has 3 Scooby Doos, American had 1 Legends, 1 Oktoberfest & 1 Hot Wheels. After that, there might have been 30 other games there so even the EM's had a wait to play.

There are a good number of pins, but it's so damn crowded it's easy to miss them. Two big rows and a couple smaller ones, plus all the distro stuff and Scoobies. And a Lebowski. Some nifty rarer stuff too, like the papillons and a couple zacs. Of course, the other prob is with this many people slamming games there's a fair number down too.
Quoted from Tilt:1 more day to go. We still have a few games left, Bond, Mando, Rush and home pins.
we also surprisingly have glass left. We are usually sold out by this time. Had a bunch message wanting it so come get it!!
Crowd was huge today, Lots off foot traffic for sure
See ya tomorrow
Are you selling VooDoo glass?
Quoted from Photopin:I have to say I was disappointed in the number of other pins that were there.
I'm sorry you were disappointed.
We're not a pinball show. We're an arcade show and we try to provide a wide variety of arcade games (including pinball) every year. Sometimes that means more pins, sometimes that means less. We had more new pinballs this year than we've had in most previous years.
Quoted from Ollulanus:Of course, the other prob is with this many people slamming games there's a fair number down too.
Yes, there's some people being aggressive... there's more with a complete lack of etiquette, loading up four games for a single player when there's a line behind them or playing game after game with people waiting.

I'm not saying I was disappointed in the show, it's a great show that provides a lot of diversity. I was just disappointed in the number of pins that people (other than distributors and the Cincy group) brought. There used to be so many more and I'm wondering if it's a new trend or why people don't bring them out like they used to.

Partially my fault. I’m usually good to bring two, but was out of town this year for nationals.
You should bring a couple next year! I’ll buy you a drink.
Yes, same here. I was thinking about bringing something but I got locked into something at work and couldn't make it out until yesterday.
Another great show this year, really appreciate those who put things together. Love the diversity of things to do at the show and more than happy with the video game / pinball mixup. Participating in my first pinball tourney was a lot of fun.
Also, Tim Kitzrow was a FANTASTIC VIP guest. Him trolling people playing Elvira was epic, loved how much passion he had for the hobbies we all love.
Got my big Brave up and running this morning. Still needs some switch tweaking for score reels.
Will sell for 1200. Cash today.
Really enjoyed shooting the 007 Premium. That might have been the biggest surprise for me, because I didn't expect to like it so much.
Scooby was fun too, I wish i had more time with it though.
Wanted to like Hot Wheels and LoV, but I just couldn't get into them. Also bummed that Oktoberfest was down.
I got to play Silver Slugger, thanks to the owner for bringing that one. I might be interested in owning one of those at some point.
Great show, thanks to all involved in putting it on!

Glad you liked my Silver Slugger! I was bummed nobody bought it. Need room for my upcoming Foo!
Really was a great show. Zach and Troy brought a ton of new Sterns, Spooky with Scooby, and the trio of Americans. I do wish there were more community pinball games but I was there Thursday - Saturday and never got bored.
Tons of fun, great show for pinheads, gamer nerds, and families. Looking forward to next year!
Great show - loved the mix of machines! Crowd was very fun, nice to see all ages enjoying an expo. Got pretty crowded at the peaks but never too bad to manage. I can tell I'm not in the younger crowd anymore by how my feet and knees feel after 6 hours Friday and 10 hours Saturday. I need to get some better shoes for long day conventions!
Looking forward to bringing a game next year!
Great show. Looked like everyone enjoyed the games I brough - there was a line at GOTG and DESW every time I walked by. Mad props to whoever brought that gorgeous barracora.
Props to Spooky for coming out, and props to them for a really fantastic game. Genuinely impressed. And for everyone sweating issues with their games - they brought four, and yeah, one went down. But the other three were played nonstop three days straight and never had an issue.
Props to flip n out for not just bringing down a bunch of games, but a Bond 60th most people will never get to play again.
Props to Tilt for bringing out ICB prototypes. Not my thing, but man people love those.
Props to RecBar for bringing a slew of stuff. I was hoping to put some time on those jutels, but alas, they were not cooperating. Gorgeous games though.
Most of all, props to everyone who put the show together. Great work, great time.
Oh yeah, and proof I occasionally have a good game (DBR). Made me want to take that butter cab home with me:
