Dont use that, use some alcohol based cleaning spray for cleaning. What kind of bearings does it have? is it nylon or brass bearings?
Nylon: use lithium based grease.
Brass: ordinary motor oil. just one drop is enough.

+1 Or 3 in 1 oil for brass fittings.
WD40 is bad... WD stands for Water Displacement fromula 40. Great to clean or loosen things. Lousy for long lasting lubrication. As stated above by the dude... Lithium grease for Nylon. 3 in 1 oil is best for brass.
