Quoted from swillie:

Any feedback on the Candid Monsters book? I'm not a horror film nut in general but am seriously considering that I want a signed copy. Convince me I 'need' one...

How about supporting a fellow Pinsider, who has been making a living directing and producing B- Genre films! The man is a legend!(in his own mind). And imagine all the young directors and producers that could benefit from Mr Bohus' experience.

Last pic was Ted with the legendary editor and director Robert Wise.

Talk about a varied career, Robert Wise has worked on all genres from Citizen Kane to West Side Story to Star Trek the Motion Picture.

Curse/Night of the Demon is one of the best Horror/Fantasy films ever made. Take an excellent story by the great MR James, add in the legendary director Jacques Tourneur, add a great cast, give it a British crew, and show enough, just enough - not too much of the "monster". I watch this film every year and enjoy it every time.

#625 5 years ago

I agree! I did a story about it in SPFX #10.....

Props for the M R James credit, one of my favorite ghost story writers. He wrote some terrifying stuff.

I think that's a Padron.

Cool...I tried a H.UPMANN 1844 reserve TORO 54x6...at first i thought it was just an average cigar but Man it turned out to be an awesome very smooth not harsh cigar.Honestly,i've now learned never judge a Cigar by its name.

#630 5 years ago

What's your favorite cigar Mr.Ted? I usually place an order every 3rd or 4th day of the month...
my favorite is Romeo Y Julieta Magnum 6x60..Big Boss Cigar Haha!!

#631 5 years ago

At my cousin's wedding years ago, they had a guy who was rolling fresh cigars, unbelievably smooth. And it's hard to go wrong with a good Punch and I used to like Onyx Reserve Robustos back in the day, but haven't had one in awhile. JR's in East Hanover NJ was the place my Dad and I used to go. Fun times.

#632 5 years ago

Yes, Punch are great! Love Romeo's, Cuban Cohiba, Partagas, Arturo Fuente. Recently, Julius Ceasar, Diesel, Liga Privada, Padron, ...and, of course...Island Jim! (I made a poster of myself to give to Jim when we met at a function)

One thing for sure. Ted is the best thing that happened around here for a long time. Turned a thread into something fun, with pictures. And no bickering or anything. Just Pinsiders having fun.

He sure did. The grandfather of the modern ghost story. Can you imagine to go back in time and be part of one of his Christmas Eve readings?

Yes, it's true! I actually posed for a series of Romance Novels! The artist? None other than Star Wars movie poster artist, Tim Hildebrandt!

The light up eyes are good. You'd think Tim Hildebrandt could have fixed your nose.

The girl is someone I grew up with. I just asked her because he needed a "well built" model....
