fireball2 : Pinball mover for the Stars!
Flame on! My latest texts with our Brotato Lou:
Lou: How much would you charge for moving it 4.5 miles?
Me: $35/hr + repeat customer discount probably 2 hours counting me getting out there from slo
Lou: I'll get the movers to move it
Me: Cool enough... Good luck!
Lou: I'll call you if it's not working! Thanks
Look up another thread about his travails with the influenza vaccine. There’s a great deal of speculation not grounded in science. Caveat emptor.
Something tells me if you said instead of the $70 you'd move it for a photo with him, he'd respond that photos typically cost $100, so you can pay him $30 after you move his pinball.
$35/hour for moving your pin to a new location.
$100/hour for troubleshooting problems that arise from not moving pin properly.

Update to thread........... Priceless!
Damn it Mark. I was just getting emotionally invested in this story and in Lou and your telling me he is going to let movers take care of the pinball machine over $70 bones? What the hell kind of BFF is Lou?
Is it wrong to hope the movers leave the balls in the machine and they crash through the glass when they tip the machine over. Then Lou steps on broken glass, falls to his replaced knees in tears and cries out "Come back Mark"?
For those late to the party, this is the thread that started things:

It never seemed that Lou valued the pinball machine in the first place. It was kind of sad in the original thread that such a nice game was going to someone that was not more caring about it.
Quoted from FlippinJimmy:Is it wrong to hope the movers leave the balls in the machine and they crash through the glass when they tip the machine over.
Maybe this is what Lou is hoping for...they break it, he claims it on insurance, and gets some space in his house back.

I totally get that. If someone gave me a free treadmill or benchpress it really wouldn't do it for me. But of course I would accept the gift with grace and appreciation then immediately hang close on it.
Maybe hook Lou up with the guy offering "free" storage in a waterlogged NJ warehouse.

On the latest mini episode of Slap Save pinball podcast, there’s quite a bit of Lou talk. Very funny. They reference the original thread.
4 more days. When he texts you to come over, be sure to mention expedited service costs $100 now. When he gets mad, at least you won’t be nearby. Also insist on money, no barters.

I don't know, I thought this whole thing was so OP could try and become "buddies" with Lou because he's a celebrity. I didn't think Lou caring about the machine was really the point .
Quoted from TravisRT1985:I thought this whole thing was so OP could try and become "buddies" with Lou because he's a celebrity.
NO, no, no...this is about that fine, fine machine, and making sure it gets treated right...
Quoted from Dee-Bow:I thought it was to share stories about what a douche bag lou is in real life
JUST STOP! (Insulting douche bags!!)
Lou will be at Galaxy Con in Minneapolis the weekend of Nov. 8-10. Maybe I should stop by his table and ask how moving the Incredible Hulk pinball machine went and see the look of confusion on his face.

Yes, please do that then update us.
Then Lou steps on broken glass, falls to his replaced knees in tears and cries out "Come back Mark"?
LOLOL! I just reread this!
The OP, myself and most of you reading this care more about that pin than the owner and that is the sad part about this.
I'm thinkin' Lou will be restaurant hopping today. https://spoonuniversity.com/lifestyle/free-food-on-your-birthday-chain-restaurants-that-offer

In a sad twist of irony, Lou may decide to move the pin further down the room, alone and become another victim of the Incredible Hulk.
Wonder if Lou would be into to arm wrestling at one of his signings? I’d pay $50 to get his autograph and a pic of him in green, arm wrestling me, while I would have no interest in paying $40 for an autograph.
I can imagine the pin, sitting lonely and folded up in the corner of an empty room while that sad piano music that was always at the end of the Incredible Hulk episodes plays on an endless loop....

Ahh, man, that is sad music.
Also, was Lou cheap even back then? Dude is hitchhiking. Never even offers to help with gas. What a freeloader.

So, didja? I forgot you said that, and I hounded him again, and he ignored me, which he usually doesn't do. Guess we gotta wait a bit longer...

I didn't end up going to GalaxyCon. I talked to someone else about him on Friday and he said that Lou didn't show up to the event, so I don't know if he was even there.
it sounds like lou needs someone like a kato kaelin to keep his stuff up and running. maybe he should take out an ad here on pinside. I'm sure there are plenty of people in his area that would gladly volunteer to help keep his restored hulk up looking spiffy
