I have just recently had U8 AT49BV1614 professionaly replaced on a LOTR that had no sound and would not boot the sound portion of the board. The machine now has sound and the LED flashes 8 times when booting to confirm the OS8 firmware.
The issue is that it is extremely loud. Volume at level 1 is almost lourder than what you would normally get at 10+. I do not know if this was a previous issue as there has been no sound since I have had it so I can only assume there is something else that needs attention on the CPU/Sound board. This is also across both channels.
Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas on where I need to focus my investigation.
