Hey,
As I've been caught by this for the exact same thing, I'd recommend checking the fuse with a multimeter. I got my LotR and it wouldn't catch the ball. Replaced the fuse. Still wouldn't catch it. Pulled the new fuse, tested it, and lo and behold, it was blown. Put in another fuse, and I'm off to the races. Just my two cents; it's usually something simple.
