I had to replace my coils with the improved version to destroy the ring... On one game with the original coils, I shot the ramp like 18x, and it couldn't make the ramp with those weak flippers. Once the new/proper coils were in, I destroyed the ring in no time.
...and BTW, the destroy the ring routine totally reminded me of a similar routine WH2O does.
