My ring board has been out for about six months now and I have been without a clue as to what's wrong with it. I had tested the cables replaced the logic and eventually just gave up. Today it gave me a clue and I can't tell if it was always giving this clue and I simply missed it before or it just gave it to me today for the first time. The ring board lights up for a second or two when the machine is first powered on after a first clicking sound from the backbox (Its always made this sound on startup), then shuts off after a second click and stays dead for the rest of the time the game is powered on.
To me it seems like whatever is responsible for the click is also killing the power to the board. Any ideas what would make that clicking sound?
