Hi all. I am a first-time owner, and just got a Lord of the Rings LE machine ... something I've had my eye on for quite a while.

I've made a few minor fixes so far (e.g., Ring Magnet fuse), but now the right slingshot rubber busted. I have replacements in hand, but am having a hard time figuring out how to install it. The right "sword ramp" is attached to the upper post on the slingshot, and above that is a pair of spotlights. I'm guessing I have to remove the spotlights from the post, then lift the sword ramp slightly (hopefully without bending it) to slip the rubber around the slingshot, but I'm a bit nervous about bending the sword ramp.

There are also several plastic figures that seem to be in the way. The left slingshot looks much easer to deal with!

I'm sure someone on here has done this. Any tips? I have a call in to Stern, so if I hear anything from them, I'll add that in a follow-up.

Thanks. For anyone reading this in the future, I removed the spotlights first, then the extension post, and I did also remove the two lowest nuts holding the sword ramp down. I had to shift one of the plastic figures out of the way as well, but then was able to install the new rubber. It's working fine.
