With the time difference it was a long shot.
Even longer if you dont check your mail. 
In all honesty a waiting list would be a good idea but not perfect because someone could put name on list and re-sell as a profit motive?
Best would be if supply could get ahead of demand and have 20-30 units so if it does go on sale you could have a chance even if you missed the post by an hour.

I think a lot of the cottage industry mod makers do it as a hobby and not a profession. Keeping track of waiting lists, communicating with dozens of people, having expectations from your customers... All those things suck when you are just trying to make some art and share it.
I think he makes like 10-20 tops of these a year. It's already been stated but if you're desperate for one you need to setup a bot to watch the website and get a text or email when the next 5 are ready to order.
Gah! Its DAMN frustrating to keep missing this. My palantir is broken in half and I desperately need a new one. A waiting list would be REALLY nice. Any chance someone has one of these they desired not to use and willing to part with it?
jrobinso99 offered to repair it for free or upgrade it for $105. I went with the upgrade to make it brighter. I appreciate jrobinso99 doing this. Great way to stand behind his product.
He did have to as I bought the LOTR with the mod in it. The ball looked like it took a few too many hits.

Just picked up a gorgeous HUO LOTR that hasn't seen the light of day in years and needs some updates (not to mention code and LEDs). A bunch of people recommended this mod and after seeing one in person, WHOA!
Anyways, I went to http://www.jayspinball.com/ to bookmark it for a future release of mods, and the website is dead. Tried it from a couple devices. Anyone else seeing this?
Looks like the domain still registered to him, but expires this Wednesday (1/24/18). Maybe he doesn't plan on continuing?
In the past, the website has been inactive at times and then pops back up. Doesn't seem to have any relation to when the mod is available though. In any case, if more are made, it's typically been posted on here by Jay and then first come first serve.
Maybe Jay got rich on bitcoin and doesn’t need to make The World Famous Palantir Mod anymore?
Hopefully a few more get made. This is easily 100x better than the factory palantir.

I feel like I can build one I just dont understand what is projecting the eye. Making the crystal ball with an led on a mount is easy enough, Id be willing to try to repair somebodies just to get ahold of one to see if I can start making them to fill the gap left by Jay

Actually, I've spent the last 6 months since the summer batch focused on hosting pinball events for the local community here, operating our 16 machine pinball arcade, and preparing for the PinFest IFPA tournament. With PinFest now being a 2018 Pro Circuit event it really needs to remain my top priority until its complete.
That said, over the last several months I've been building back up some of the required components used to make the Palantir and I'm going to try to knock out a small batch for the show. If I am able to do that I will post a status here and make them available to PinFest attendees on a first come, first served, basis. Once PinFest is done I hope to be able to carve out some time to complete another full batch which I'll make available via the normal means.

I have my old one with the bullet holes if anyone wants to buy that. When I sold the game, my friends didn't want it, and bought a new one.
EDIT wow from the instsnt pms, Jay, people are clearly hungry for these, make more! Still one of the best mods out there. If you want pictures of mine please search my posts in this thread.

I bought a bunch of stuff from Atomic Boy (we are in the same city). Cleaned out his stock when he got out of pinball. I now have the palantir mod he was mentioning. No idea what to ask for it. If interested pm me and let me know what a fair price is. Thanks!

If you want to be a little greedy you can probably make a profit off it. There are so many people who want it and so few of them to go around. Or you can just sell it for the same price you got it. I've got one where the eye ball broke off the base, don't need it anymore. This is fixable and I've even heard Jay possibly fixing it for free.
I'm willing to send it to the first lucky pinsider who wants it for free (if you want, you can always send me beer money or shipping but I'm not asking for a dime), just pm me

LOL, You can always try to make your own and fail like me! I just couldn't get an led to be bright and still look good but the materials were cheap enough.

Cool, I added a palantir decal to cover the white target. I have two different decals that I have used. Currently liking this one better.
The eye decal I see as redundant and the palantir did have a dormant state.
