So I'm looking for a birthday gift for myself, even though I don't know where I'm going to put it. My choices have come down to LOTR or STTNG, I'm asking for your assistance in making my decision. I like wide bodies and have always been a fan of the next generation. I love the Lord of the rings movies and it's a beautiful looking machine. Value for price will also be a consideration, the LOTR is about $4k -$5k more expensive. Please help me Pinside, you're my only hope.

I've tried to love LOTR thruout the years. I've played it many times, but never owned one. But always had ST-TNG since the mid 90's.
IMHO: at approx 1/2 the price, ST-TNG hands down is the winner.
Picking up STTNG tomorrow.
