I don't think you'll need freeze spray with a game this young and with the coatings used nowadays. Should be easy enough to carefully pull it. You could also use something like goo-gone to help dissolve the glue.
I have seen another pinside member use a hair dryer to slightly heat uneven inserts, but that could be a bit risky, and I've never done it myself. They were working on a Whirlwind.
I wouldn't want to use much heat, and not for very long to see if you can get the insert to sit down, but again as Robin says this is a relatively newer game than Whirlwind.
Possibly someone else can confirm/deny this.
Well I removed the mylar and noticed that the insert was not flush, it was sunken on the bottom side. This is why they put the mylar on there. My friend & I raised it level and used some water-based glue to lock it in place. We then also used the glue on top to fill in the gap that was there from it getting knocked around a bit. Some cleanup under the insert to remove the black gunk and we are all set to go.
