Im reinstalling the original display from my LOTR LE and Im getting random dots. I may have installed the ribbons the wrong way, but have been trouble shooting turning off the machine and flipping them, but to no avail.

Can someone let me know what side the red strip should be for the ribbons? Any pics or trouble shooting steps would be appreciated

Im not sure if I did damage to the display doing this or not.

Thanks for the response. Im not able to find the "1" in white by the connector. Could I have more details on this please?

As well, could I have shorted something out or done damage to the display by flipping the ribbon and then powering up?IMG_1281.JPG

thanks for the feedback on this. Still not working, leds will not light and start button doesnt start. Looked for a blown fuse, but there is none.

Any ideas??

Ok got it, it is the F11 fuse for future reference. Thanks all for all the help.
