Just drove through NYC and into Brooklyn to pick up a nice LOTR. 3 hour round trip, probably the best drive through the city I've ever had. Knowing this was in the back made it even betterIMG_0308.JPG.
Awesome game. One of the all time best. I didn't know it was that good till after I picked one up. Now it's never leaving!
Thanks everybody. Yes, got a good deal and the seller is a great guy.
Going to clean it up tonight and play the hell out of it tomorrow!
You're gonna love that game. It only really starts to shine when you have it in your house and can really play the crap out of it. I just had to pull mine out of my lineup (space issue with a new game), but I'll own it again in the future.
This is one my son wishes I'd have kept. And when I think of what I sold it for (2800) it sounds cheap now. Lol. Todd

Thats $300 more than I paid for mine,& I was a little hesitant to pay that much 5 years ago.
Congrats. I received mine a few weeks ago. I like it very much and this is the only pin my 16yr old son is playing. Good to have someone else in the game room.
Note, however, that it may take some time to really appreciate it - I only start to understand the rules and enjoy trying to destroy the ring.

LOTR is a great contrast to pins that have real quick ball times ... like Gorgar! (I think you know that one )which incidentally handed me my head yesterday. 50 of the quickest games I think I ever played. I couldn't stop.
Gorgar is addictive, like potato chips, can't have just one. I play mine every day.
Been looking forward to LOTR for a long time and glad I finally pulled the trigger. I think my family is just as happy.
Daughter #2 posted it on facebook before I even got it home!
Good for you. One of the best games ever made. If the art work around the flipper buttons is shot get the side rails with built on protectors.
Quoted from pinster68:BTW ... more pics!
Here's a few I took this morning. Doesn't look like much wear around the flipper buttons. I need to make a list of essential mods, things to make it play better and protect ramps ect... I'll take the entire top of the playfield apart for a good cleaning once I get a few other things done so I want to order what I need now.
