Was going to install these in my machine, but someone said they were tacky. What do you guys think?
Quoted from kaneda:let me lick them off for you
I think you just need to delete your profile . and start a new one with a different name No hate intended . But it is in your best interest .
Quoted from TheDarkKnight68:Well.... I'd say enough said on this thread....

I'm not going to comment other than saying you took a big risk when you searched for an image of this...
Interesting. May have my girlfriend try that method of hair removal for me. Thanks for the idea kaneda.
Hey Pinballsmith, I mean this as nicely as possible, but...
Hairy horse nuts? That's what I used for a search term since you seem to need to know, and poof!! Try it. If you thought something weird or inappropriate (ahem.. I mean MORE inappropriate than that pic of horse nuts) I don't even wanna know, and not everyone is a weirdo, bro, check yourself!!

Well, in that case...

OK srsly tho, I've never seen gold mirror blades, but if they were to look good on any game - LOTR would probably be it. LOTR is the one game I'm hesitant to convert to LEDs, because the warm golden glow of incandescent bulbs just looks so right on that game....because of that, perhaps gold mirror blades would looks nice as well.
I have them on mine, and they're awesome. And yes...they look even better with the incandescent bulbs!
I'm seriously considering these. Please let me know if you find a deal. I recently put mirrors on Met, and what an improvement! The only gold blades I'm seeing run near $200.
Quoted from bigduke6:Have them on my LOTR. They look great. Only problem is, i have the occasional air ball( upgraded flipper coil ) and they will dent the blades.
That's just battle scars, my friend. Be proud. Be VERY proud.

Being so worried about what other people's opinions will be of how you decorate your new precious is unbecoming to the point I get the distinct impression I am being trolled just by clicking on this thread, let alone responding to it.
It's your game. If you want hot pink powdercoat fly at 'er.
Some people dress up their games like Barbie collectors dress up their Malibu Dream Collection. Sometimes I think it looks great, sometimes less so.
But even if I think some of the mods are tasteless (e.g. the porno variant translites...) I doubt the owners are crying in their beers that one guy thought they wasted some time making their game look worse.
Seriously, I think you should sell the LoTR and invest in some counselling if this thread is legit.

I have them on almost all of my machines. I have gold on LOTR LE, IJ and ToM. they look great on the games. When the game is turned on, you don't really notice the gold as opposed to the chrome/mirror on others, only when up close, so the effect is subtle, but still fits nicely.
As for the air balls, man LOTR is violent! I am hard pressed to find dings in the blades on any other machine, but on LOTR, it's riddled. Oh well, battle scars
What a weird F'n dude
I'm starting to think there's something wrong with most of of us... some more than others. I mean really, what kind of grown man fills his house with toys from childhood? Especially when it becomes such an obsession they join a forum to bicker & then spend $20,000 to $500,000 on the shit? What went wrong? Failure to launch? Immature? Weird?
Wait, I fit most of those generalizations lol
Seriously though Kaneda either you do this on purpose or you are exhibiting some weird co dependent creeper behavior. I'm starting to picture Norman Bates with a gameroom...

Thanks for posting that. At least I'm not alone. When the occasional air ball slaps against something it can scare the crap out of you!
Quoted from JAG94:Reviving an old post, does anyone have pictures of their LOTR with gold mirror blades? Trying to decide if I am going with standard blades or the gold for my LE.
I have standard mirror blades and love them.
