Was playing my LOTR LE last night and had balls held on the right flipper for a while. Eventually the flipper dropped. Fuse was blown. So I replaced it and it blew again immediately.

Did I fry the coil? Both coils read 4 ohms on the DMM. Any advice?

Ah, yes. Thankfully Google Shopping Express now delivers from Fry's Electronics. My new transistors should be here any minute.

It was probably a minute or so. Not that long.

OK, I replaced Q16 and the flipper is working again but seems weak. Any ideas why? I used the stern recommended NTE 2987.

Sigh, probably worth a rebuild.

Thanks. I'm in silicon valley, there's lots of electronics stores here that carry them.

A local guy had one. I put it in and the flipper is back to full strength. Last time I trust an NTE part.
