Installed the special LOTR coils and love the snap and play of the flippers however if you hit a clean shot to the left wire form it is going too fast and will launch into the shire on occasion. Anyone else have this issue after the new coils were installed?

I have tried adjusting the wire form but cant get it to stop.

Yeah. Here's a thread that documents my experience with it. Thanks to the guys who helped me fix mine.

Looks like you could drive over to Ryans house today, check it out and pick one up

I had the same problem with my LOTR, and the only thing that worked for me is the thread that herg posted: a plastic piece right after the gate. After I installed that the problem was gone.

Good luck!

I had this mod too...it is great for getting rid of that big ugly plastic square, but it does not stop the ball from flying off the ramp...

I got the LE lotr coils and the wire mod. My balls bounce where they should.

The only thing I had to do was tweak the settings on the coil strength/duration to get the best performance.

Perhaps the OP might want to tweak the coil settings
