Do you have the ‘ugly’ LoTR ball lock that covers up the locks but makes the sword ramp look funny?
This solves the problem, works perfectly and makes the whole thing better, IMHO. I bought a few for my LoTR LE - I was going to put them on both sides, but only ever needed the one.

I have one left. But it has a hole drilled in the bottom middle between the screw holes, I had fit it on the LEFT side of the sword lock (with double sided 3m tape). I drilled it to accept the wireform return from the Gimli shot. $15 shipped with a 3m strip in case you already have slim RH one and want to fit two on your game.
Could also still be used on RH side, but the extra hole would be visible. See images. Make me an offer!
