Greetings. I'm having trouble repairing my lotr. A while go, the autoplunger became stuck activated. As soon as the game is turned on, the autoplunger activates and causes fuse F21 to blow in short order. I replaced the solenoid and replaced transistor Q2, but the problem persists. All switches (except for Balrog hit and Balrog open/closed) show as open. Switch 2 works correctly. Disconnecting the Balrog does not stop the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas of what else it could be that's causing the problem? Thanks in advance.

The shorted FET and coil may have damaged circuitry upstream from the FET. Or, the FET replacement missed something.

If you'd like to send the board to me,
I can fix it. Otherwise, get your logic probe and schematics out and start hunting.
