Strikes 'N Spares
Gottlieb, 1995Working on a Gottlieb Strikes 'n Spares bowling pinball game, and it has 2 DMD's and both stopped working at the same time? boards seem to have power(each has it's own board) Fuses look good, game plays blind. I can't imagine they both went out 100% at the same time, no burn or gassing prior, am I missing something? been stumped for awhile on this one, any help would be appriciated.
I'm sure the displays are fine.
I would guess power. Do you have the correct high voltages of about 68, -100, and -112 (or so)?

where would i test for those voltages? on the end of the DMD cables or unplug from board and test there? LED flashing saying it has power coming in, so not sure how they both went out at once, when they have different DMD boards,
On the transformer panel, remove F3 and F4.
Buzz them with your meter.
Those fuses protect the two AC voltages that the dot controller use to create power necessary for the DMDs to work.
