I've posted on this one before, so here's an update: I have an original Lord of the Rings. The magnet coil blew the transistor. Upped the fuse per the service bulletin, replaced the transistor, blew again. Replaced the coil and diode, installed an IRL540 transistor it grabbed for a moment, then blew the transistor again. I'm kind of stuck now.
