Common issue on whitestar games. You can check the flashes when the board boots. A chip is bad on my board so I bought pinsound instead of trying to repair
4 flashes seems right. I was misremembering, the flashes only deal with the operating system and seemingly only matter if you swap boards.

Look for 157
You could try pressing on the chips of the sound section to check for poor solder joints, don't press to hard and don't short anything.
You could try calling stern or a distributor. Stern can repair them, but you'll be without the board for a while. They also did another run of whitestar boards recently, but I heard those were basically all sold out.
Or just do what I did and get a pinsound
