Are your speakers stock? If they were replaced, they could be more efficient and result in different volumes than stock for the same amplified output. Doubtful but I can't think of anything else. As you said, pinsound replaces the sound section of the board entirely. You're sure the volume pot on pinsound isn't cranked all the way?
