You may find that the washer technique results in it being level but too high. It all depends on how it is sitting. If so, there is a process to pull the playfield and level it by adjusting the square of the support brackets. My recollection is that there's a horizontal support bar that holds the shape or something along those lines.
The leveling process was outlined in either the manual or a service bulletin.
