Hi all,

Trying to finish up my DW restore and have run into a loose wire on the mini playfield. It was tucked away just inside the conduit. It's a solid purple wire. I traced it back to the other end and it attached to the coil on the right side (lock 2) - specifically the coil lug that sits closest to the back of the mini playfield.

Any ideas where the other end of this wire is supposed to attach? It is only very short and looks like it should attach to another component on the mini playfield but I have no idea what.

Thanks in advance.

And just an update. I can see that the wire from the other coil lug, and the wires from both lugs on the other coil enter the conduit and terminate at a molex connector on the other end. It seems odd that all 3 other lugs do this but not the wire from this one.

A friend has let me know that the two coils should be connected to each other with this wire. Can anyone advise which lug on the other coil I need to solder the wire to?

Thanks!

I can maybe look tonight if you don't get an answer by then.

Thanks, that would be very much appreciated!

Have you looked at Faz write up? You may be able to see it in his pics.

Yes I have read Faz's guide. Unfortunately the images don't show enough detail to make out where the wires lead.

This is an old mini pf I've had laying around. The 2 wires towards the front have color bands. The back are solid purple. 20151013_205518.jpg

Thanks so much for this. The solid purple wire was the one which was loose on mine.

Looks like it does indeed connect the two coils together (via the lug closest to the back on each coil).

Thanks again!
