I found a ripped wire (all green) at the left of the coin door (see pic). I followed it and it ends near the volume/test buttons, attached to the cabined with a screw (green wire on the left side of the picture). Tested for continuity: positive. Is it mass, right?

Where should the ripped end connect?

What game is it?

Does something not work like a test button or coin switch? If everything works I'd just leave it.

Since it's green and the other green wire looks to a be ground I would say a ground wire. Check anywhere it can reach to see if that's it.

It's a ground wire and judging by the shoddy crimp job on the connector on the coin door it's been replaced before. Hunt around for a ground connection with no wire in it. Maybe inside the Test Mode Function housing?

No errors, all works great. Just seen that wire, maybe its been like that for a long time.

The two ends of the cable are respectively on the left (ripped side) and on the right of the coin door.

While it should be a ground wire, I've seen enough squirrley stuff done to pinball machines that I wouldn't just trust that. I'd snip the lead off and leave it, suspect it if you have a problem in the area later.

Follow it back to where it originates if you are concerned, if everything is fine then it could be for something unused.

It's a ground wire that normally got attached to one of the screws on the leg plate.
