Congrats on your first design!
Who did the code, Waison?
How does that Trex work? Is it a turn around ramp and a spring on the jaw? Clever stuff. Also jump ramp hype!

How many more do they sell at $3,000 vs $4,600? Probably not that many to make up the profit difference or to make it worth the resources to run it on the factory line.
Maybe the company that has been in business for a few decades and has a large network of salespeople telling them what the consumers want knows what they're doing...
If they did retheme this like they did Spiderman/Star Wars/Supreme/Heavy Metal... I could see that Trex being a Godzilla spitting a ball out like its his atomic blast
Quoted from yancy:I feel like the biggest hurdle with this model is rock-solid tech support. What happens when a flipper rubber breaks? Can they just box it back up and return it to Costco? Because that's what killed Transformers home model. Or is this sold through the normal distributor network? If so, it better be a distro who can send a guy out for stuck balls and dead switches.
I'm guessing both. Distributors like variety in what they're offering and Stern already sells Star Wars The Pin on their website.
I think most people who buy these things don't use them enough to really wear them out, but even still the design is simple enough. There's like half as many coils and switches as a typical game.
Quoted from CaptK:Here's the longer Game Features video:
This video is well done. Is it possible to re-edit it and put it on the game as an instructional video during attract? Does a great job explaining all the rules.
Quoted from Rarehero:C'mon...even though this is a solid home game effort, it's still a "low end" model with an MDF playfield. A legit 90's B/W game with a Diamondplate playfield will always be nicer & despite high prices, will hold their value. Home games don't.
Who cares?
There are so many people who just want something reliable, delivered to their door, and they're fine having it for a long time because they're not crazy collectors. And even still, Star Wars Home Pins aren't exactly crashing in value when they do pop up for sale.
Quoted from dtrimberger:And I don't see a reason for those 2 titles specifically why they don't do a reskin of this Home JP. Something similar to Heavy Metal/Star Wars HP. Cuts back on manufacturing cost with a bit of artwork change. Hey maybe replacing the t-rex with a moving grogru will finally appease everyone...
I said it earlier, and I'll say it again. I think it could easily be redone into Godzilla in another year or two. Change the Trex into Godzilla, play the atomic blast noise when it comes out of the mouth, dress up the jump ramp like a bridge that's out, etc...
As an aside, sorry we're already redoing the game on the day of the reveal Jack <3
Quoted from cooked71:Can you lift the pf on these? I remember the early versions of the pin had to be serviced from underneath through a hole in the bottom of the cab. Did they change it with the new versions?
Yeah they lift up like normal. That was just those Transformers and Avenger games
Quoted from bobukcat:If this thing is running Spike why are the slings and pops all tied together instead of driven individually like a proper game?
Because it only uses one main node board with 9 coil transistors vs a pro/premium that has two.
Cost reduction
