Hey everybody we have a really good friend of ours who has been in the corporate world for about 30 years and was recently let go and replaced. (Yeah it was a crappy deal, she us a great girl)
Anyhoo...long story short their son has been racing quads for years and she was she was already sewing heavy-duty materials for the quad industry. Basically Nets (footboards) she has a state-of-the-art sewing machine that can pretty much so through anything.

Long story short I mentioned to her as we were talking about her crappy let go that all things work out and this is an opportunity to really take off with what your passion is. I told her I could really use a good pinball cover and she would probably sell quite a few if it's a nice product because I really haven't seen anything out there I like. Although, I haven't had time to really research deep lately because we've been so busy, but I know at one point there was next to nothing that was worth anything. We would love to hear your input on what you'd like to see in a pinball cover, what is currently out there that you like or dislike and any opinions you may have on the topic. We plan on bringing something to Market pretty soon here. They're coming out today to take measurements on just about everything imaginable as far as cabinet shape and yes this will include games with toppers. Go!

Unless your game is near a window and susceptible to direct sunlight/cabinet fade, I don't see the need for one. I can windex/wipe 25 playfield glasses before a party in 15 minutes.

    Exactly, never understood the point.

Sorry for your friends job loss, but agree, why cover them, they don’t get sun and the glass wipes off easy from dust.

Its not a bad idea, but Im not sure the demand is there. Some people travel for work and so covering a machine while away for a few months would keep dust off. Cats are also a problem for some owners. I have debated making some for mine, but would want the cover to match the theme. In the end, it doesnt take long to clean, so I havent bothered with making any myself. But maybe she can sell some. Good luck!

Good idea, price will be biggest issue. I believe there is a market, just will need to be priced right. Good luck!!

The idea of a pin cover just seems so lame to me. Luckily for people selling things here, all the shit I hate is super popular in the pin world so Agree it's a good idea
People have been talking aboot covers for years.

    Hey Kurt,

I’d be interested. I don’t use them for dust, but to prevent cabinet fade since I have a few next to a window. I have some of the pinskin ones but started looking for alternatives. The pinskins have magnets in the back to hold the sides up, but mine still leave a gap that some of the fabric flops over, exposing the cab. I also feel the backbox covers are a bit of a tight fit on mine, and if you have a topper, really no option. Also, if you have a pin with anything other than a basic shooter, ie T2 or Data East GnR, you have to further cut open the shooter holes, or make new ones.

I started looking at https://www.coversandall.com/pinball-game-cover.html, I like the idea of customizing some of the features, would be nice if you could choose the game, and that drove some of the settings, shooter holes, if was a wide body, ask if you have a topper or not, etc, and adjust the dimensions accordingly. The only thing I don’t like about their design is that it is all one piece and covers the legs which seems excessive, unless you’re keeping it in a garage or outside... I also don’t see my kids being able to easily remove the covers by themselves like they do now, as they slide right off. So I foresee the pins either going unplayed by them, or they bug me every time to play, or I hear a loud crashing sound as they attempt to remove themselves.

Anyway, I'd be interested in what she comes up with.
