Hi all-

I am missing some parts on an Addams Family I am rebuilding. Ay chance that someone can measure the dimensions of the backboard (attached to the back of the playfield).

I know the length is the width of the playfield, but I am looking for the width and height. Also, is anything attached to it (front or back). If anyone has links to pics, that would also help.

If you can help, thanks!

Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks!

20,000 of these made- surely someone can pop the glass, raise the playfield and take a few measurements for a brother pinballer...

Thanks!

20 1/4 x 4 1/2 x 1 and don't forget there is a hole in it for when the thing box opens. You are lucky, I am working on mine now, there is nothing left on the playfield, so it was easy to measure

Thank you so much!
I never would have guessed it was an inch thick!

I have a TAF apart too. I just measured the width and it was .75". Also at 4 inches tall it goes at a 45 degree toward the front, then reaches 4.5 ".

The hole for Thing is 17" from the left. It measures 1" across, 2" tall, .25" deep.

Hope this helps.

You could always get the plexiglass backboard. Expensive, but cool.

I so want to get that for my taf. But coasterguy said its hell installing it. Even Joey at pinball decals says its a bitch. But, if the OPs back is already missing, then I definitely think this is the way to go.

Thanks for the great info-

Two questions for clarification-

1) with the 45 degree angle on top- which height is the tallest? Is it the back of the backboard, or the front of the backboard that is tallest? I believe it is the front side, but want to make sure.

2) is the thing hole a rectangle, or an oval?

The plexi is cool, but too rich for my blood! Thanks again!

Also, the thing hole that is 2" tall.... Does it start at the bottom edge of the backboard?

1.The front of the backboard is the tall part.
2. both
3. yes starts at bottom

MWIZ - Thanks! This is exactly what I needed. Time to practice my router skills.

One more question before I make a router mistake-

Is the EDGE of the hole 17" from the left, or the CENTER of the hole 17" from the left?

#14 10 years ago

I believe it is the edge
