I have a MSF that does not start up. Looking for some help troubleshooting the problem. I have already rebuilt the power supply and now I am stumped. I am willing to pay for professional help on the phone or local (Central Wisconsin) house call. HELP please....

This will help. Check the section on troubleshooting power problems.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have run through that tutorial and a few others that I found. There was a problem with the power supply so I replaced the caps, power regulator chip and the power transistor. Now all of the voltages at the test point are good but it still does not start up.

Do the leds light up on the MPU board ?
The "Blank" and the "+5V" should light up, the "PIA" not.

Maybe, take out the systemboard and add 5V on the powerpins (look in schematics for correct pins)
Add the display to the systemboard (if possible) and see what happens.

If the "Blank" led keeps coming up and down, then there might be a MPU problem.
