If it's original, normally the spot welds break. This is what happened to mine. I just took it to a local welder and had it re-welded for $10-20 bucks. If someone else tried to fix it then it's probably messed up.

It is, and sadly the previous owner did his own welding and it is a mess. I'm not sure it can be cleaned up, but it's sure as heck going to nick balls.

My subway ramp is also broken and has some DIT plastic repair to it so I need to source that as well.
