A friend has a Chicago Coin pitch and bat....and a 1 to 2-inch section of the bat broke off.... he's looking for a replacement bat.

Anyone know of a source for that kind of a part?

Going to close the loop on this:

Usual suspects (Mayfair Amusements and Pinball Resource) didn't have this part... found it at:

    48 bucks?!!!!

A piece of round nylon stock with a hole drilled in it. I think a local plastic shop could supply the plastic for like a buck. And you could drill the hole. It would save say 25 bucks of shipping too, from canada and all.

I agree that it's a shame to have to pay that much but if that is the original part and you have to have it then it is worth it. I would doubt any other suppliers would have it.

You could buy like a foot of nylon rod from McMaster Carr (probably tons of other vendors to choose from) for like a dollar.

    Depending on diameter:
    Here's 1/2" part #: 8538K18

    Buy a cheap rotary tool:
    https://www.amazon.com/Genesis-GRT2103-40-Rotary-Tool-Accessories/dp/B00885ZI06/ref=sr_1_8

Make a few of your own for less than half the price of the one on flippers.com (which doesn't even look to have a beveled end like the one in the picture up top). Buy extra nylon rod and practice until you get a perfect one... make extras for future replacement. Have fun, save money, and come out with a sense of accomplishment.

Not an original part. Did you look at the photos of both bats?

I lived with a piece of oak doll rod for years and it looked great...very cheap and accessible.

I would agree with the above. the one from the link is actually a piece of nylon with a hole drilled in it. the one in the original game has some taper to the short side of the hole. not that this matters. but it makes one think that just buying some nylon and drilling a hole is really a very viable option.

You guys make great points... Clay, your original observation is spot on.

I passed along both sides to my friend, I agree that I would rig something...
