Does anyone have any experience with buying new Stern machines in the New Jersey area? I'm moving there shortly and wanted to grab a new machine.

    Thanks!

If you live in NJ you should buy from a distributor outside the state to avoid sales tax. Many of us buy nib stern fro cointaker, located in PA. That said, I am not aware of any stern distributor in NJ. It used to be jjp (aka pinballsales.com) years ago.

Have it delivered and save the tax. I believe cointaker will deliver and set up for you. Good people too!

I’m in Nj too. I use automated in ct or Colorado game exchange and JJ will ship as a part of the price. No sales tax that way. Welcome to jersey!

it's funny, last time I mentioned this a pinsider got all high an mighty on me. I gave him some "use tax" statistics and after that he didn't say anything. It was less then 2% of people reporting use tax back in 2016. I doubt things have changed much. Technically that means anything you buy online or locally on craigslist you need to be keeping track of.

Won't be long before this is a thing of the passed.
Connecticut actually got with newegg saying they owe them money for all previous purchases. This one guy wound up getting a bill for like 20k from Connecticut.

I like Automated Services in CT. They deliver to north jersey. Mike there has done right by me.
