Looking for a MOSTEK 3870 chip for Bally Home Pinball

Added: October 3rd, 2016 Ended: November 2nd, 2016

Item description

Just got a Bally Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy home edition pinball. Half the legs are broken off the MOSTEK 3870 chip, thus I am looking for that chip or the whole board. Let me know what you have and thank you!

Quoted from CactusJack:

Also, since it is a ceramic package and more than likely, only the thin pins have broken off but you still have all the tabs on the side of the chip, you can clip all thin pins (leaving the wide tabs hanging down) and then solder the chip to what was referred to as a component carrier.
Something like this: http://www.debcoelectronics.com/40-Pin-Component-Carrier.352
Keep in mind, if power was applied with some pins missing, it is always possible that the chip has been internally damaged. So, keep that in mind when deciding how much to spend to try to fix it.

Thank you! I will have to try this, first. If not I will order the replacement. I have also heard that power supply rebuild is a must on the Bally home games.

The chip component carrier did not work. EXPO bump! Hoping someone has a board or just the chip that I can purchase
