So if anyone remembers my post from the last holiday season, my own life fell apart rather fast. Thanks to a bunch of pinsiders here including Blackbeard amoung others, I got a ton of great advise. The problem was worked out both thru prayer and therapy. But, alas life wasn't done with Spooks yet, and Mods: this is a legal lesson in placing pins in a relatives house and ownership! So after my family woes were healed, we got an eviction notice from my wife's Twin Sister, the God-mother of my kids. Great! She had gotten power of attorney which included the house, the wife's parents house we had lived in for 5+ years. Her intent was to sell the house to pay off her own, the 100k life insurance policy she cashed out behind her sister and brothers back wasn't enough it seemed. But, alas, money destroys family's. We went to court and fought it, and while we won the right to stay for another 6 months, thought it best to move since another relative offered to rent with an option to buy at zero percent interest, a wonderful 4 bedroom house on 8 acers of property for cheap. But here's the pin problem, ready? Four years ago I purchased 2 Stern Pins from a good pinside member. He could not have been any better thru the sale and afterwards. We put the pins in my sister-in-laws house as we didn't have the room in what was our house, and my wife was there every weekend and all summer taking care of her sick parents, of which her mom has since passed. The pins also gave my kids something to do and myself also. Anywho, before the eviction and during last winter, it was very much strongly communicated to me that if I dared to step foot on her property, under any circumstance, I would be arrested for trespassing and to kiss my games goodbye. (That was me translating allot more nicely then she did). Everyone I knew also said that a NY law stated that if property remained after 36 months, that said property remained to the household. Ok great. Here comes Pinside to the rescue! I sent a PM to Turboderf to get in contact with Ogeist, who sold me the pins as I needed a signed statement from the seller as to why the pins were temporarily placed in the witches house. Both guys went above and beyond, and after showing the opposing attorney Ogeists written statement, the lawyer shook is head and it was settled that I got my pins back, the wife got to see her father one last time and the evil sister got stuck with all the court fees as well. So bottom line is: possession is not 9/10 of the law, and even after 4 years, if you can prove what's yours, you can get it back. Thanks to Turboderf and Ogeist, there's a great bunch of Florida Pinsiders down there! As a footnote: my kids and wife and I are doing great! Beautiful new start for us all and the wife and I are doing better then we have in 14+ years. SpOoKy (who will now be around here a little more lol)

Thanks guys! Most important thing though is us, as a family, after going thru hell for 9+ months, to have a great new home and a fresh start, things like pins can always be replaced, but family can't. Money is truely the root of all evil, and It was proven yet again. I'm thankful to get my pins back, but the important thing is my marriage and family's new start. SpOoKy
