I'm making up a game cards for a small local show, but wasn't quite sure how much room I needed to leave for the game title on the card.

So, what are some games with the longest titles that you can think of?

    Indiana Jones, the Pinball Adventure.

Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy

Creature from the Black Lagoon. Bally 1992.

El Dorado City of Gold. Gottlieb 1984.

And some titles made by Allied Leisure.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I needed to re-arrange it a bit.

Does one of these look ok, or does the way the info is displayed look kind of odd?

On the 2nd line you could add, "Made by" then the company and date.

We were just discussing this on a different post.

"The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends"

    Hm...seems like too many words.

The Addams Family Special Collectors Edition

I agree. Your first revision with the year and manufacturer in parentheses under the title was fine. If you must differentiate it in some way, you can use italicized text instead of the parentheses, but honestly it's pretty good looking as it stands.

Ok, what I think I'm going to do is after a certain point, automatically shrink the text to fit the space for some of these ridiculously long titles. Something like creature will fit fine, but "The Addams Family Special Collectors Edition" will shrink slightly.

I think he meant "Made By: Alvin G., 1992." Don't forget The Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Limited Edition

Chief Bank-A-Flip Galactic Poker Dice by Duncan Brown.

    LTG : )

Which do you think looks best?

    Normal text with parenthesis:

    Italics, with parenthesis:

    Italics, no parenthesis:

Yeah, I tried it that way too. It still looked like too much to read.

Added some comparison images in the previous post.

Ok, this probably won't count because it's a video game title, but I'm saying it anyhow...

Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters (Atari, 1989)

What about "Asteroid Annie and the Aliens"? Not the longest I guess, but it's up there.
Hey, a little trivia. Which US state has the longest "official" name?

    The Commonwealth of Massachusetts?

    Washington D.C.

No. Easy to look it up, but both guesses are incorrect. I'm going to wait a bit to give the answer.

Ok, I think I settled on a design for the game card. Thanks guys!
