Chicago Coin Hee Haw. Out of 16 score reels player 4 the ten point reel will not reset on start up! I cleaned the score reel unit, not loose wires, checked the contact they are good. Can not figure out why this one reel will not reset. Score motor runs even after manually resetting this reel. can manually reset reel, manually reset slide bank relay and the game plays. Help needed!!

Thanks

There are two Score Reset Relays and #2 Score Reset relay works the 4th player score reel. Check the contacts are clean and closing on this relay.

Ok, I think I found the issue. There appears to be a break in the trace on the back of the reel board see pic. Now how would I repair this? Never done a trace repair before.

Do the fingers on the part that turns reach that far out on the board? If not, then solder a wire across the break. If they do, then you’ll need to hunt down one from a donor score reel.

I had one in almost exactly the same place and it easily missed the fingers. By the way it looks like there is way too much grease on the board, way outside the path of the fingers.

Fix the trace, all reels now reset to zero, put score motor continues to run.

It's harder to tell on a CC game, but one of your zero pos. switches isn't closing. Check for continuity on each switch with the reels at the zero position. Those switches are all in series. So you can hook one end of a continuity tester to the green wire on player 1 - 10 point score reel board. Touch the other end of meter to the White/Brown wire (right beside it). If you have continuity, leave the probe attached to the green wire and move to the next one. Now touch your probe to the White/Brown wire on the 100 point reel. Continue to move to each reel until you lose continuity and you've found your open switch.
