Could be, or may be a stepper issue. Did the lights go out after ball 4 or did they stay on the during the whole time?

Is it possible the ball trough switch didn't close properly? If you could, try a 1 player game with glass off and see if it does the same thing. We need to lower down if it is player unit/ball count or something else.
Ok, I missed that is was "stuck" off after that ball 4! If you have lights but nothing to the power button, I'd suspect the game over relay. Try manually setting that on/off (carefully) and see if the ball is kicked out and/or you can reset.
