Put a piece of black electricians tape on top of the coil.

If you don't need to put coins in the machine you can disconnect that coil

Should still work right? I thought the lockout coil is to reject coins added after a game is started.

The purpose of the Coin Lockout coil is to reject coins when any of these 4 switches is open

Worse case, you lose a coin if the machine is off.

Worst case your customer loses a coin and beats up the machine trying to get it back.

If the machine is off the coin returns.
