Hi Pinside, Tech question:

I've got a CP with the LED life meter lights not working. I've traced it to 4 very obviously cooked resistors on the Serial 24 Driver board. (R4, R9, R16 and R23). These are fed by an LM4094, an IC I can't seem to track down or find a cross reference for.

It's my guess that if I replace the IC (LM4094) and the obviously cooked Resistors, and a couple of diodes and transistors down the stream, I should be able to get this thing working again.

Does anyone know anything about an LM4094? I can't find anything on it.

Thanks!

It's a shift register:

"LM" is just a particular manufacturers code prefix (National Semiconductor) - HEF4094, CD4094 are other identical parts from different manufacturers.

There are many others - the clue is to look for a "4094".
