If internet advertising had restrained itself to banner ads and hadn't come up with popups, popunders, unskippable video segments that interrupt what you're watching, etc, I wouldn't have bothered downloading adblock, at least on my home PC (need it at work because nobody wants their boss looking over their shoulder and seeing an Evony ad).
But since I've installed it, it defaults to on. And the internet marketers have only themselves to blame.
