"0" is a string literal containing the ASCII character 0 (U+0030). However, string literals are typically terminated with a null character, so it is still present!
That said, the value of null is typically assigned the value of zero.

Null is actually the fourth boolean state!
The other states are TRUE, FALSE, and FILENOTFOUND.
