I got this backglass, and it looks factory (Bally) but it is from a 1960 Queen of the Beach" machine....but the title is 'Bali-Ha'i", and a pin in that name was made in 1970, with an entire different font.

Anyone know what this is about?

Games that allowed a large number of replays were frequently modified by scraping and decalling or repainting/rescreening the title. I believe that was the case in this instance. As you can see, the plain white cloud would have been very easy to scrape and replace.

The reason for this was because in some localities, law enforcement had a list of banned titles. If your location had one of these banned titles, it meant you were penalized/fined/jailed and the game was confiscated and destroyed. Modified game title = no problem.

This was originally Bally's Beach Queens: https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=206&picno=16074.

    Fun game!
