Hi All,

I recently picked up a Genie and its a pretty good shape cosmetically but a little fuzzy with how it's working. The game was not turning on except for a few backglass lights and the shoot again light between the flippers and was not playing. All of the sudden I tried turning it on and it all came on, except for the drop targets. All targets and switches work except the drops and there is no scoring from the slings it plays pretty well otherwise. I've turned it off an on quite a few times and it's back and forth whether it barely comes on or it is fully playing. Any advice I am pretty new to this but have some knowledge. I tested all the fuses. Also I am looking for the part number or whoever sells the right connector for System 1 GTB A1-J6 in the photo, someone hack jobbed it but i can't find the part number in the manual. Thanks in advance.

List of system one edge connectors.
Check your voltages at power supply. Do recommended ground mods and then you will have a good base to diagnose without chasing your tail.

First get the MPU fixed and booted.
Then look under the playfield for fixing the rest.
An unfixed MPU will keep blowing fuses as it will turn on different coils.

Start with power supply, as stated. Then move on to MPU.

I had a similar problem with one I worked on. New power supply, connectors, reset components. Only resulted in about a 25% boot success. Ended up replacing the MPU with a Ni-Wumpf.
