I'd start by manually advancing and resetting the stepper units, such as the coin unit, ball count unit, player unit, credit unit, etc. Make sure all the steppers advance smoothly and click into each position, and then fully reset. Sometimes the steppers need to be taken apart, cleaned and then reassembled with very limited lubrication... Also, check out Clay's Web site about EM pinball machine repair:
